This project will partner with climate vulnerable communities to enhance their climate adaptation ability and Develop Local Adaptation Plans of Actions in 10 districts.
GIZ Base line Survey

Baseline Survey of 450 schools in Punjab, KPK and FATA to measure and describe contemporary classroom practices.
Local Adaptation Plans of Action (LAPA)

LAPA focused on the water sector into policies, strategies and action plans dealing with Climate Change at district level in Pakistan. The project is funded by BHC.
Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN)

The CDKN is a new initiative designed to support developing countries in tackling the challenges posed by climate change. It was launched by the UK government
Women Leadership - Our World

In partnership with David Lucile and Packard Foundation, the project’s aim is to have sensitized a cross-sectoral network of women leaders to the issues of RH and lead change within their spheres of influence
Leadership for Reproductive Health (LRH)

In partnership with David Lucile and Packard Foundation, this project will develop an interlocking matrix to undertake a sustained improvement in the Reproductive Health indicators

Agriculture and climate change in India

India is a large country with a diverse climate. Diverse seasons mean diverse crops and farming systems. There is a high dependency of agriculture on the monsoon rains and a close link exists between climate and water resources. Two thirds of the area is rain dependent. Call For Proposals: Disaster Risk Reduction in South Asia, January 16, 2012

START, with funding from CDKN, is pleased to announce a Call for Proposals (CFP) for research on integrating disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation for resilient development in South Asia. We expect to fund up to five research projects of a maximum $100,000 USD for up to 19-months’ duration. The geographical scope of the CFP is Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Read More
